I just StumbledUpon a flash website that showed the scale of the universe in comparison to the earth, ourselves, microorganisms, etc. I've never really though deep into it before but the scale on which we live on is infinitesimally small compared the the giant worlds out there. Most of the time I am bothering myself with human and microscopic interests and have never really though of the "big picture." What are your thoughts on the scale? Mind--blowing? Who cares?

I'm pretty used to and comfortable with the idea. Millions of other planets with intelligent life on them, planets and stars that are millions of times bigger than our sun, areas where the laws of gravity and magnetism are reversed... Pretty standard stuff in my head.

I can't seem to wrap my mind around the concept of infinity... same with the concept of nothingness. It's just too... I can't describe it. ABSOLUTELY MIND-BLOWINGLY AND UNFATHOMABLY ENORMOUS?!!!!!!!! Or absolutely mind-blowingly and unfathomably small.
Yes, it is mind-blowing. But for me, it's to a point at which I can't really focus on it - or, I suppose it's more like I refuse to focus on it because I'm lazy and easily frightened and actually quite like the idea of my being the center of the universe.

Infinity and no thingness aren't real. There are illusions posing as infinity every where, but that shit's crap. That crap's shit. There are big numbers and there are small numbers and the numbers change all of the time. There is no infinity and there is no negative.
And I am the center of the Universe. Me.

Good job. Except you're wrong on at least one thing there, Shyft: it should be obvious that I am the center of the universe.
