Some people worry about every possibility. Then, when some thing happens, they claim that they predicted it.
A pessimist and an optimist are talking together. Optimist says, 'There's no thing to worry about.' Pessimist says, 'What are you talking about? This could happen, or this, or this or this, or this, or this...' Just being a dick and pointing out what is possible that might not be to the party's liking. Then, when one of the dozens of possibilities occur, the pessimist says, 'I knew it.'
No. You didn't. You weren't sure what was going to happen. That is why you made so many damned guesses. Stop worrying about the future and make the future.

I must be a pessimist, then... Whenever I'm about to embark in some new endeavor, I think about all the horrible things that could happen. One of those things usually ends up happening, and even if it's not something drastic, I still mull over it for quite a while.
There are a few situations where I've guessed some pretty big horrible things that have happened, with little to no foresight about them. I felt sickly awesome when they happened, like I had some kind of future-sight. What's probably happening, is I'm thinking of all the possible bad things, then deluding myself to think the only one I fabricated was the correct one.
...Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing things, as I tend to do as well.
Edit: I just reread everything you stated more carefully, and I just realized I said the exact same thing. Mornings aren't my thing at this point... Anyway, what you said, I'm quite guilty of it.
