Here it is. What you have all been waiting for (even if you don't post here any more and aren't reading this): a thread where we talk about Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man. Let me start it off by saying that he's a fucking nut bag. A whole fucking bag of nuts. 'That's a lotta nuts!'
Other wise, where to begin? His conspiracy theories? His clueless 'observations' of nature? His absurd hate? His obsession with proving his self to people that he supposedly does not respect? The fact that he is a terribly static character? May be his failure to realize that people can change and that other people do change? May be the his failure to understand that when he is at a loss for words there is a good chance that it is because he is wrong- or at least does not really know what it is that he is talking about.
There is much depth to all of these topics, but for now I shall choose hate. Yes. Hate. We've all experienced it. It is very common and accepted, so why should Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man be at a loss because of it? Well, for one, he doesn't know when to stop. He doesn't realize that it might be worth his while to refrain from hating and making grudges some times. He could lose friends- or just never obtain any. He could lose valuable opportunities to learn.
It turns you in to a very negative person, expecting the worst and turning the good in to bad in your mind to satisfy your negative manner. If you expect the bad enough, you will look for it and no thing else. Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man's old belief that the government was after him led him to believe that no one could be trusted, for example. Every one could be an enemy, so they should be assumed as such for safety purposes. Things like that.
Being so filled with hate makes it difficult to see the good, even in memory. Much more of my interactions with him were positive and friendly than they were the opposite. He probably has a hard time recalling that because of his grudge, because of his hate. It has been four years and the hate is still there, recalled clearly as if the last argument was only yesterday.
Since that didn't take very long, I shall choose an other: the strange scenario of his static character. The teenage years are a huge turning point in most people's lives, and yet from age fourteen to eighteen Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man has remained the same. His thirst for knowledge is so biased and narrow minded that he has gained no thing for the purpose of bettering his life. Even his poor spelling and grammar remain unscratched.
How can this be? Does he fear change, or is he really just too dumb to learn from his intake? I do not believe that it his a matter of stupidity, but of ignorance. He does not know because he will not let his self know- but indirectly. This can most likely be tied in to his foul hatred of the out side world. He set up his defenses too soon. He began to 'protect' his self from 'corruption' in a premature state. His barriers not only guard against certain apparent silliness and conformity, but also the knowledge and experience that he needs to obtain to be happy and understanding. His version of the truth can only satisfy him in such a way that makes him feel like a knower of the truth- quite possibly the only one.
In this way he has made his self the god of his hazy view of the world. He is the maker of truth. We can not even know our own personal truth. The only truth is his truth. No opinion. No possible confusion. Only his truth. Since he accepts no other truth, he has a hard time relating to other people unless they share his vision. Alienating his self from others severely severed short his chances of learning opportunities through experience- though, as stated before, his filter would only allow what he already believes though and no thing else.
Okay. How about an other one? His 'observations'. That can represent many of his problems. Simply put, he draws conclusions based primarily upon what makes sense to him with his narrow knowledge and ignorant logic with little respect to the facts. He picks and chooses facts to follow, filling the rest in with guess work that 'just makes sense- if you think about it'. Think about it like a mad man, like Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man.
Many people lie to their selves. We lie to protect our selves and the people around us from the truth. Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man, a self proclaimed master and keeper of all truth, you can imagine, is in a very deranged state, if he both claims to speak high truth and lies to his self. When Pumpkin-Cabbage the doppleganger man wishes to prove some thing with his snap 'it just makes sense' judgements, he will often inflate the knowledge with words like 'experience' or 'if you look at the obviously facts'- facts, I might add, that are often left completely ambiguous, faceless, and other wise left unknown.
His arguments would be riddled with these creations of a crippled logic. Once removed, many would crumble to dust- becoming obvious spectacles of certain nonsense or even madness. What a tragic occurrence for an individual who considers his self to be of a deep, critical, and philosophical substance.
That is all for now. Feel free to share your own thoughts and take on the subjects that I listed in the first lines.
