Hello, everybody.
My online name is usually Kitsu or JadeKitsune, and my real name is Josh. I am a near-21-year-old male, who's passion lies in friends, possessions, money, cars, being fit, technology, music, and games. I'm also somewhat vain.
Me successfully attempting to be awesome.
In my opinion, the most important thing to post here is that Shyft, and all of the people I’ve met through him, are some of my relatively new friends. That said, they are some of my best. I feel like I’ve known them forever; I really can’t imagine what life without them in it. I remember doing things, but it feels like they were there all along.
I grew up kind of a shut-in until the senior year of high school, where I magically blossomed into a hyper-extrovert. I had a few close friends... Alright, I had two friends. And that's it. No groups of people, no fun events, just video games.
I played Diablo II from the year 2000 until the year 2003, every day, for hours a day. I'd pretty much wake up, play. Go to school, come home, play. Sleep, repeat. I had eight or nine accounts, filled up with characters. Eventually, when I became tech-savvy enough to program the AI in my bot using D2JSP, I started botting, and played when I wasn't botting. I had ridiculous amounts of high runes; enough to make a six-ZODed Phase Blade, and I almost made a six-ZODed hydra bow before the character was deleted from inactivity. ;~;
Anyway, I eventually started playing Ragnarok Online, and it only got worse. At least in RO, I was talking to people and being social, whereas in Diablo, I just ran solo. I played RO from 2003 to 2007. I was only crazier for that game, until senior year. I became friends with tons of people, and found a girlfriend (Well, that happened when I was 16, I've only had a few girlfriends in my life, but my relationships seem to last quite a while.) I had a passion for economics, and computer science. I loved programming random stuff in BASIC, C, and eventually a bit of Java. I discovered 4chan just about the time I turned 16, and I've loved it ever since. What else? Umm, I suppose I've had four serious relationships (aka: girlfriends), and two of those relationships have lasted a year-and-a-half. I currently drive a black VW Cabrio convertible (Vroooooom! 30MPG! Top-down and a bumpin’ sound system make for fun nights, when it’s warm out! Just wait ‘till I get my sub…) and a red old-style Mercury Cougar (20MPG x.x... Feels like a recliner, though~) My computer is a Kitsu-built computer, “Compy v4.1.” It is composed of an Intel Q6700, 4GB DDR2-800, and a BFG GeForce 9800GTX+ OC, overclocked slightly higher. What is now a terabyte-and-a-half is backed up, compressed, to a 750. All of this is hooked up to two 22” LCDs. I also have an Intel Extreme QX6850 sitting on my shelf; I’m selling my motherboard and processor, and buying a DFI-Bloodiron or a board like it, and using that processor. Then, my technology dream will be complete.
Well, I’m done nerding out for now. What else? I’m an atheist; I’ve been as such since, well… I think since I realized I have the choice to believe whatever I want, which was unfortunately not until about seventh grade. I was still confirmed, too. Umm… I didn’t get any exercise until I started DDR at 14, but didn’t manage to gain any weight, despite my ideal lunch being two McDonald’s cheeseburgers, supersized friends, two supersized cups of Mountain Dew, and some Frosted Fudge Cakes (two) for dessert. I gave up pop, fast food, and TV when I was 17. I haven’t had any pop to drink (Well, I exclude Energy Drinks, which makes me a hypocrite) since then, haven’t eaten ANY fast food (Unless you count Subway,) but I’ve watched 20 minutes here and there of TV. I wasn’t really AVOIDING that one, just felt it unnecessary.
Musically, I grew up loving… Well, Blackstreet, The Spice Girls, and Will Smith. I got into nu-metal like System of a Down when I was in middle school, and black/death metal shortly thereafter. Since then, I’ve gained a fondness for things from nearly every genre. My main loves lie in Electronic (Breakcore, Goa and Hands-Up Trance, and IDM,) black/death/power metal (Opeth, Dimmu, Bodom, Graveworm, Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy), progressive rock (Opeth {Well, I guess that’s ‘Progressive Metal} and Porcupine Tree), indie (The Blood Brothers; Loney, Dear; Rose Kemp; Eisley), punk (Rise Against, Circle Jerks, Minor Threat) alternative (Super Furry Animals, The Dissociatives, Death Cab, Postal Service, Radiohead, Muse) emo and ‘emo’ (Anchors for Arms, Fugazi, The Used, Straylight Run) hardcore (Unearth, Autumn to Ashes, Buried and Me, Alexisonfire, An Albatross, Glassjaw, Dillinger Escape Plan, Versus the Mirror)hip-hop and rap (Jedi Mind Tricks or anything from Vinnie Paz and the Army of Pharaohs, Busta Rhymes, Tech N9ne, DZK) and other random stuff (Coil, DJ Carhouse, Elliot Cole) Oh, and ANYTHING Anticon. I love going to shows; I have a very fat stack of tickets. I also love raves, thanks to Shyft n’ friends. I don’t really play any instruments, but I play a mean game of Dance Dance/Pump/In The Groove/Beatmania/DJ Max Portable 2/Popn’/Perc Freaks/Guitar Freaks and Hero/Rock Band/Frequency or Amplitude/Gitaroo Man.
I don’t smoke, but if I did, I’d look thiiiis cool.
Well, that’s about it for now. Even I can only talk about myself for so long!
